2025 SEASON: Subject to canal closures and water levels, we plan to go north on the Soane and Petit Soane to the Canal entre Champagne de Bourgogne, and then east at Vitry-le-Francois to the Canal de la Marne au Rhin over to the city of Nancy. We will determine the return route at that time.

DRESS: Informal. Travel light, soft luggage recommended: limited storage on board – slacks, shorts, sweater, rain gear, non-slip deck shoes, sun hat and sun lotion. Small binoculars prove very useful. Clean towels, bedding etc. are provided for incoming guests.

CASH: bring cash in Euros for the kitty. Bank machines are common and accept Canadian bank cards.

EXPENSES: Guests share household expenses such as food and wine, laundry, mooring costs, etc. All on board, including Captain, contribute to a household fund administered by Chancellor of the Exchequer (Guest by Appointment).
DUTIES: Guests, Captain and crew all pitch in with duties including provisioning, meal preparation and housekeeping. The Captain and crew are mainly responsible for operating the barge. The guests are primarily responsible for meal preparation and housekeeping.
